ELECTROLYSIS – permanent hair removal
Do you dream of perfectly smooth skin – without irritation, ingrown hairs and constant shaving?
Discover electrolysis – the most accurate and effective method of permanent hair removal, which works on all hair types, even light and grey hair. This treatment is for women and men who value perfection and long-lasting results.
What is electrolysis?
Electrolysis is used in cosmetology as a method of permanent hair removal. Although it is not widely known, the effectiveness of this method of hair reduction has been scientifically proven.
The treatment uses direct current, which damages the hair’s reproductive cells responsible for its growth. The technique involves inserting a thin needle into the skin, directly into the hair follicle, and applying direct current. This destroys the hair root, leading to the loss of the entire hair structure.
The downside of electrolysis is that the current must be applied to each hair follicle individually, making the treatment very time-consuming. Although electrolysis uses electricity, it is 100% safe. The intensity of the direct current used during the procedure is high enough to destroy the hair root and at the same time low enough not to cause any damage to the human body.
Electrolysis, like other hair reduction methods such as diode laser or IPL, only works on hair that is in the growth phase. Therefore, it requires a full series of treatments to achieve a complete and permanent effect.
A major advantage of electrolysis is that, unlike treatments such as laser hair removal or photoepilation, it works on all hair types regardless of thickness, colour or density.
This is the only method that effectively removes all types of hair – even those that cannot be removed with laser treatment, including:
light, grey, red, thin and delicate hair,
hormonal hair,
individual hairs or hair in sensitive areas (chin, neck, nipples, bikini line).
Indications for treatment:
unwanted hair (including light or grey hairs),
individual hairs remaining after laser therapy,
ingrown hairs,
hormonal disorders,
need for precise hair removal in small areas (e.g. around the eyebrows).
What are the benefits of electrolysis?
Long-lasting effects – electrolysis destroys the hair follicle, meaning the hair does not grow back.
Versatility – effective on all hair and skin types.
Precision – suitable for small and sensitive areas such as the face, especially the upper lip and chin, or the bikini line.
On which parts of the body can the treatment be performed?
Electrolysis can be performed on virtually any part of the body, including:
face (chin, moustache, cheeks, eyebrow area),
neck,
armpits,
stomach line,
bikini line,
fingers, hands and feet.
Contraindications:
pregnancy and breastfeeding,
heart disease, pacemaker,
epilepsy,
uncontrolled diabetes,
cancer,
active skin infections, herpes, inflammation,
recent sunburn,
taking photosensitising or anticoagulant medication,
blood clotting disorders.
Is electrolysis painful?
The sensations during electrolysis are noticeable, but not strong enough to cause significant discomfort. Modern devices used for this treatment are equipped with systems that monitor the entire process of hair cell destruction. This allows for a very short application time of the current, minimising discomfort.
Immediately after the treatment, the skin may be slightly reddened. Small scabs may appear at the needle puncture sites.
How often should the treatment be performed?
For a complete and lasting effect, electrolysis should be performed in a series every 3–4 weeks.
Electrolysis – preparation for the procedure (the day before your appointment):
stop taking painkillers and antipyretics,
avoid sun exposure,
during the treatment period, protect the skin from sunlight and use SPF 50 sunscreen.
